Family Vacation in September

OUR FAMILY VACATION IN SEPTEMBER

We had an enjoyable vacation in September. We got to visit with Heidi and Mike in New Jersey over the weekend. It was great to be able to see where they live. After leaving New Jersey, we went to Philadelphia and spent the afternoon touring Liberty Hall and Independence Hall. From there we drove through New York City on the Hudson Parkway and on to our motel in Massachusetts. We spent Tuesday in Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts visiting historic sites. Then on Wednesday we went to York Beach, Maine where the kids had an enjoyable time playing on the beach and in the ocean. On Thursday, we traveled up to Portland Head Light (one of the places we visited on our Honeymoon 10 years ago). Late in the afternoon we headed into Kennebunkport, Maine to do some quick souvenir shopping with the kids. We bought each one a Christmas tree ornament. We spend some more time on the beach that evening before heading back home.

You should be proud to know that I made it to the bottom of your blog. And it's not even my bedtime. Thank you for a wonderful read. Your home and family make me smile. Sometimes I wonder why we want a large family and want to homeschool. I remember now.
