Julissa with 'Her Girls"

Julissa sitting with her girls right after she got up this morning. She sat and played with her dolls for quite awhile this morning. I was taking her picture and she said, "Don't take a picture of my 'toesies'." Posted by Picasa

Julissa with her "Hat" on

Julissa told me that she was wearing a hat. If you look closely you can see the cap of an acorn perched on her head.

Another Niece Has Arrived!

Congratulations to Jodi (my sister) and James on the arrival of their new little girl. Jesherlah Joy was born at 1:29 p.m. today. She weighed 6 lbs. and 4.8 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. They now have one boy and three girls and my parents now have fourteen grandkids - seven boys and seven girls.

New Wheels for the Girls

Briana was thrilled to move to the next size up.

Julissa on her new tricycle. Her legs are still a little short for reaching those pedals. It says that it is for ages 2- 5 but it doesn't quite work for her yet unless she pushes with her feet on the ground. She is over 2 years and tall for her age. In my opinion, the age marked on the box is not accurate.

Hot Air Balloon

A Hot Air Balloon we saw out our front door this evening. These things fascinate me but not enough to make me want to ride in one.

The Last Ballgame of the Season?

A biplane we saw flying above the parking lot when we parked to go to the ballgame.

Julissa and a friend watching the ballgame. They are two months apart with Julissa being the older of the two.

The Winning Team!

We went to the ballgame fully expecting it to be the last game of the season as it was tournament night but our team won. So we will be returning next week to see what happens.

Space Shuttle and International Space Station

Tonight around 10:30 p.m. the four oldest kids and I went outside to watch for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station move across the sky. We were rewarded for our efforts and were able to follow it from the back of the house and out across to the front until it disappeared into the distance. Sam called Jeff out to see it after we first spotted it so all but Julissa got to enjoy seeing it. Here is a link to NASA that will allow you to see if it will be in your area within the next few days. Enjoy!

To My Dad! - Happy Father's Day!

My Mom and Dad

My Dad fishing with Samuel.

We are so glad that you will be moving closer. When I first told Samuel he looked a little sad, so I asked him what was wrong. He said, "I hope there will be Rainbow Trout where they are going so I can fish with Papa."

What Makes A Dad
By: Author Unknown
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
Love Your Daughter,
