Happy Birthday, Briana!

Briana's 1st birthday!

#2
#3

#4

Now the 5th one.

The cake was made at Walmart (they are just not as good as Marsh cakes). I think I am going to switch back to Marsh Bakery.

Her Daddy thought she looked a lot like Mommy tonight.

It is hard to believe she turned five today. Although, Jeff did say that he thought it had taken forever for her to reach the age of five.

Briana wearing her new boots.

Briana wanting to show everyone how old she is now!

Curtis decided he needed to show his age (double that of his sister).

Then we have Sam signing in at 8.

Now Alex at 6 with cake crumbs and icing on his fingers.

Then, we have Julissa trying to show us her age. She didn't quite make it. She is only 2.

Last but not least, we have Jeff trying to show us his age by his hair or lack thereof.

Homeschool Field Trip

Today we got together at the ICHA dining hall for a homeschool meeting. We had a total of 22 kids turn out for this first homeschool get together of the year. We had a pitch-in lunch followed by a talk given by a police officer. After he talked with the kids about his job, he showed them his cruiser and even let those who wanted have a turn sitting in the front seat. My kids had a really enjoyable time.

Some of the kids looking the cruiser over.

Another pictures of the kids and some of the adults listening to the officer talk about his car.

While the kids were listening to the officer, Julissa was building fires (according to her).

A Few Autumn Photos

A Maple Tree two doors down.

A photo looking down the street a little further.

A photo taken from the stop sign on the next street.

A photo taken from the stop sign at the end of our subdivision.

I took these photos tonight on the way out of our subdivision on my way to the grocery store.

The Evening Sky

The view from our patio this evening.

Here are a few pictures as took right before we were sitting down to supper. It is something you have to catch at just the right time because it wasn't but a few minutes later and it was gone.

Briana Lost Her First Tooth Tonight!

Briana lost her first tooth tonight in church during prayer. With having five children, one never knows what one will experience - even in church. She is only 4 years old but will be 5 here in a few days. I guess she is just going to be an early bird when it comes to losing teeth as she has 3 or 4 more loose. None of the rest of our kids have lost teeth this early. I am NOT one of those that love the look of missing teeth in little children. I am thankful that thus far we have not had a child who had lots of empty space due to losing baby teeth. I am very glad that we went this past Friday and had her picture taken before she lost this tooth.

Here is a picture I took of her after we got home tonight.

God's Painting

I walked out to the mailbox and thought the sky so beautiful that I must try and capture it via camera.

Master Bathroom

We had our master bathroom painted a dark purple. It is actually called tannin. I like it but I think maybe the room needs a border to lighten it a little. Below are a few pictures of the bathroom.

The pictures in the bathroom are ones I have had in there for quite sometime. There is nothing new except the paint.

The only window in the bathroom.
