Mother's Day

My husband and five kids gave me a beautiful hanging basket of flowers for Mother's Day. The kids also gave me a floral waterball with music box which they found at a garage sale with Grandpa and Grandma. They purchased it the weekend Jeff and I went to homeschool convention and managed to keep the gift a secret. Pretty Amazing for five kids!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

To my wonderful Mother who has poured her life into her family. I truly appreciate all that you have done for me over the years and all that you continue to do for me. I am sorry that I am not able to be with you on Mother's Day, but I hope you have a Happy Mother's Day. I love you!

A Mother's Love

A Mother's love is something that no one can explain,

It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may

For nothing can destroy it or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking,

And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns,

And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation,

And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle man cannot understand

And another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand.

Our Redbud Tree

I have been otherwise preoccupied and have not taken many pictures lately, but here are a few I did take the time to take the other day. I really enjoy the beauty of the Redbud Tree despite the fact that its name is a mystery to me. Why anyone would call a tree that blooms purple in color a Redbud tree is beyond my wildest imagination. If anyone would care to enlighten me, please feel free to do so. The longer I look at these pictures, the more I am convinced that I probably took these on the wrong setting, but I will go ahead and share them anyway.

Until next time,
