I try to read to my children every evening before bed. We read a Bible story then a chapter or two from another book. They take turns picking the book we will read. A while ago we discovered a series of books you might enjoy. "The Martha Years" by Melissa Wiley, "The Charlotte Years" by Melissa Wiley, "The Caroline Years" by Celia Wilkins. Martha was Laura Ingalls great grandmother, Charlotte was her grandmother, and Caroline was her mother. Most girls enjoy the Laura Ingalls Wilder books, and mine have enjoyed these, also. Even Kendrick doesn't seem to mind them. Just thought I would pass that along. I have found them all at my public library. Happy reading!
Thank you for the book suggestions. I had forgotten about those books.
