Six years ago today our first girl entered this world. Where has time gone? Today we pause to celebrate with her. She along with her oldest brother set the dining room table with my winter china, tablecloth, and napkins. I forgot to get a picture until after the kids were at the table putting food on their plates, but if you use your imagination you can envision what it looked like before anyone sat down.
Again, I attempted to make a cake. As you can see I am definitely out of practice. I attempted to make a Pastel Four Layer Cake. I didn't use their icing recipe, but used my mom's instead. It has been so long since I had made it that I ended up with too thin of a consistency. It does not look near as pretty as the original picture looked. But it tasted good and I believe Briana was happy.
